Osborne Richardson has an amazing relationship with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) across their Natural Disaster Program, and we've got a cracking chance for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team delivering recovery works right in the thick of it.
This is a genuine chance to make a difference — supporting the Project Manager across preconstruction and construction activities, keeping the DRFA process on track, and helping get communities back on their feet after natural disasters. What you'll be doing:
- Providing task-focused support to the Project Manager across NDP projects and contracts
- Maintaining a solid understanding of project scope, risks and timeframes
- Undertaking site visits and attending contractor meetings to provide technical input
- Assisting with the DRFA submission process in line with TMR NDP guidelines
- Recording project expenditure accurately in SAP, including progress claims and accruals
- Maintaining budgets and forecasts in 3PCM and programming in P6
- Reviewing contractor programs for compliance with contract requirements
- Supporting contract administration — variations, EOTs, delay claims, correspondence
- Maintaining drawing registers and managing as-constructed/survey submissions to ARMIS
- Capturing completion photos and records in RADAR
- Keeping the lines of communication open with the PM, NDP office and Comms team
Essential criteria:
- Four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), accredited under the Washington Accord or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia
- Minimum 6 years' experience delivering transport infrastructure projects
- Minimum 3 years' experience delivering projects under Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA)
- Current Class C driver's licence
- Sound understanding of contract administration processes, including variations, extensions of time and delay claims
- Confidence working across TMR systems such as SAP, 3PCM and P6 (or equivalent)
- Strong stakeholder communication skills across project teams, management and the community

- Rate: Up to $140/hr + Super
- Location: Nerang, Gold Coast
- Contract: 12 months with serious potential to extend onwards
