Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Grade Foreman to lead grading operations on residential and commercial construction sites. This hands‐on role involves operating heavy equipment, interpreting site plans, managing crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to spec.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of foreman experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety. The candidate must be able to perform physical labor, work long hours in varying weather, and travel to job sites across the region.

A valid NC driver's license, OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or ability to obtain), and passing a pre‐employment drug screen and background check are required. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and six paid holidays.

Essential Job Functions

- Commit to providing and promoting a protected work environment.

- Communicate with a superintendent, municipality inspectors, and project managers regarding the daily job scope of work.

/n

- Follow directions.

/n

- Operate excavators, dozers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment associated with grading operations.

/n

- Understand and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction stakes as required to build the project to engineered design.

/n

- Manage crew and employees to safely, efficiently, and accurately complete projects while promoting growth and development of assigned employees.

/n

- Perform essential job functions and other duties as assigned. We do not have operating‐only positions; all employees are expected to do whatever work is required as a team to get the job done.

Position Requirements

/n

/n

- Require standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching,



and squatting.

/n

- Operate machines with or without GPS.

/n

- Regularly lift more than 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.

/n

- Walk and stand may require a full day of 9 to 12 hours.

/n

- May be exposed to occasionally extreme hot and cold temperatures.

/n

- Ride to and from projects in various locations within the geographic region.

/n

- Adhere to safety rules and possess or be able to obtain OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification.

/n

- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co‐workers, supervisors, and the general public.

/n

- Report to work at the designated start time.

/n

- Be able to work long hours when required.

Minimum Qualifications

/n

/n

- At least 5 years of proven experience in the field as a successful grade foreman.

/n

- Pass pre‐employment drug screen and criminal background check.

/n

- Provide valid documentation for the I‐9 immigration document.

/n

- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

/n

- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‐workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

/n

- Be at least 21 years of age.

/n

- Have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving record.

/n

- Agree to a pre‐employment background check.
