Job Description :

Building lender strategy on complex residential, commercial, trust and SMSF deals — the kind most brokers can’t place.

Structuring deals to get them across the line, drawing on knowledge of second-tier and non-bank lenders and their policies.

Assessing financials — tax returns, BAS, company/trust/SMSF structures — for serviceability and suitability.

Negotiating with lenders and BDMs, managing credit questions, and resolving structuring or policy issues during the application.

Running valuations, pricing, and product comparisons, and preparing clear funding tables and submission strategy.

Delivering a clean, considered credit strategy ready for the processing team to execute — the one-touch approval standard.

Driving speed to approval and settlement by getting the conditions and structure right upfront.

Requirements

5+ years in commercial, residential and trust/SMSF lending, with real exposure to complex structures.

A genuine strategist — thinks outside the square, sees the structure others miss, and knows how to work the lender to get a yes.

Robust knowledge of major bank,



second-tier and non-bank lender policies.

Commercial lending capability (used selectively, but we want the option in-house).

Likely an ex-broker or senior credit assessor who loves the craft but doesn’t want to run their own book or chase leads.

Direct, confident communicator — plain language, no jargon, no hedging.

Hungry and results-driven — motivated by getting hard deals done and being rewarded for it.

Works autonomously and takes real ownership of outcomes.

Desirable

Diploma of Financial Services or equivalent.
