About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Infrastructure Engineer to support a large, multi-site retail organisation across its corporate offices, stores and supply chain environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in defining the infrastructure technology roadmap, leading technical deployments and ensuring engineering solutions align with enterprise security and operational standards.

This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, hands-on infrastructure expertise, technical leadership, vendor management and project delivery experience. You will work closely with architecture, product, project and operational teams to deliver secure, scalable and supportable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with architecture and product teams to define the future platform infrastructure roadmap.
- Provide expert input into solution design, technical architecture and technology lifecycle planning.
- Act as Lead Engineer across medium to large technology initiatives.
- Prioritise and assign technical activities, provide guidance and resolve complex delivery issues.
- Lead technical discussions covering the design, implementation and deployment of new infrastructure solutions.
- Deliver technology solutions across corporate offices, retail stores and supply chain environments.




- Partner with Project Managers to translate complex technical initiatives into practical delivery plans.
- Evaluate third-party services, technical proposals, contracts and vendor engagements.
- Coordinate internal teams and external providers to deliver infrastructure deployments safely and effectively.
- Ensure engineering activities meet enterprise security, compliance and operational requirements.
- Incorporate IT security best practices into solution design, configuration and implementation.
- Review and contribute to technology lifecycle roadmaps for business-critical systems.

Develop, document and transition support processes to local and offshore IT support teams. * Create and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience leading engineers or technical delivery teams.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying infrastructure solutions across large, distributed or multi-site environments.
- Experience working within retail, warehousing, supply chain or other operationally critical environments.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end enterprise infrastructure and business application processes.
- Experience leading medium to large infrastructure projects and technical deployments.
- Strong vendor, contract and third-party service management experience.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical delivery plans.
- Deep understanding of IT security principles and experience implementing secure infrastructure solutions.
