Boilermakers & Fabrication Trades Wanted – Workshop Roles | Wacol QLD
Our client is expanding their workshop team and are looking for experienced trade professionals who enjoy building, fabricating, and modifying heavy equipment in a modern workshop environment.
In this role, youu0027ll be involved in the manufacture and preparation of a diverse range of machinery, from new equipment builds through to customer-specific modifications and upgrades. Youu0027ll play an significant part in ensuring machines are completed to the highest standards before delivery.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Fabrication and welding of components
- Machine assembly and fit-up
- Installation of customer-specific options and accessories
- Equipment modifications and upgrades
- Pre-delivery inspections and functional testing
- Fault finding, commissioning, and quality checks

Youu0027ll be working on a variety of equipment across mining, construction, and utility applications.

Weu0027re interested in hearing from tradespeople including:

- Boilermakers
- Fabricators
- Welders
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
- Mechanical Tradespeople with fabrication experience
- Trade-qualified Metal Fabrication professionals





Previous experience working on heavy equipment is advantageous, but itu0027s not essential. If you have strong trade skills and are looking to move into the heavy machinery industry, full training and ongoing development opportunities are available.

Shift Options

- Monday to Friday
- Day Shift: 5:00am – 2:00pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm

About You
To be successful, youu0027ll ideally have:

- A recognised trade qualification in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication, Engineering Fabrication, or a related discipline
- Practical experience in welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and workmanship
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work collaboratively within a workshop team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to continue learning

The following licences or tickets are desirable but not mandatory:

- Forklift Licence
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
- Working at Heights
- Dogging Licence
