Some of your responsibilities will include;
/n
/n
- Lead and supervise a team of Inspectors (Structures), ensuring high standards of safety, quality assurance, environmental management and inspection data integrity.
/n
- Plan and coordinate structural inspection programs, resources and contractors,
while supporting project planning, scheduling and tender estimation activities.
/n
- Undertake and review inspections of bridges, culverts and other transport structures, ensuring compliance with TMR standards, governance requirements and contractual obligations.
/n
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and professional development to build capability, support accreditation and enhance workforce performance.
/n
- Drive innovation and stakeholder engagement by promoting new technologies, delivering technical advice, improving inspection practices and supporting informed asset management decisions.

- Provide strong leadership and strategic direction, setting priorities, supporting informed decision-making and fostering a protected, inclusive and high-performing team culture.

- Apply sound governance and project management practices, effectively managing resources, risks and project delivery to achieve organisational and operational outcomes.

- Demonstrate expertise in safety, risk management and compliance, guiding others to implement legislative requirements, policies and best-practice standards.

Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions
/n
/n
- The recommended applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical as part of our selection process for this role.
/n
- TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
/n
- You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.
/n
- Significant previous experience in either structures inspections, maintenance or construction.
/n
- Either holds or has the ability to attain, full accreditation in Level 2 TMR SIAT within 6 months of commencement. Categories are, Concrete, Timber, Steel, Large Traffic Management Signs (LTMS).
/n
- Highly developed mentoring / leadership experience.
/n
- Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.
/n
- A reasonable amount of travel within the State will be required.
/n
- Possession of a White Card (Construction Induction).
/n
- Demonstrated competence in using a variety of software applications and complex technologies.
/n/n
