About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our busy and friendly Sydney Mechanical team. The role is suitable for a qualified candidate with HVAC design experience on building projects. The engineer will work on a wide range of projects, manage workload across multiple projects, and attend client meetings with strong consulting skills.

Day To Day Tasks

/n

/n

- Support the design, planning, and delivery of HVAC systems on healthcare, commercial, data centre, retail, defence, industrial, and educational building projects.

/n

- Demonstrate technical engineering knowledge of heat load calculations, equipment and reticulation sizing and selection, coordination, and documentation.

/n

- Support Project Technical Leaders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.

/n

- Conduct site inspections, monitor installations, and test and commission mechanical systems.

/n

- Assist in HVAC design projects in accordance with code and company quality standards.

/n

- Contribute to tender submissions and project reporting.

/n

- Bring value to in‐house design and project meetings.

/n

- Adhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics, and quality procedures.

To Be Successful For This Role You'll Need

/n

/n

- Hold a Mechanical Engineer degree or equivalent.

/n

- Have 3‐5 years of HVAC design engineering experience in consulting within the building services industry.

/n

- Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.

/n

- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, or other industry software.

/n

- Willingness to establish and maintain client relationships to generate repeat opportunities.

/n

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

/n

- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.

/n

- Positive,
