Position Details

- Position: Project Lead – Strategic Development and Master Planning

/n

- Employment Type: Full-time Fixed-Term Contract

/n

- Term: Expires 30 June 2027, with potential extension subject to funding availability

/n

- Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

/n

- Location: Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia

About the Role

/n

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable project leader who can turn strategy into action. Working across multiple directorates, you will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of strategic city projects, while engaging with government agencies, developers,



industry partners and community stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes for Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

/n

Key responsibilities include:

/n

/n

- Leading complex strategic projects from initiation through to delivery.

/n

- Progressing CEO and Executive Team priorities and organisational initiatives.

/n

- Driving strategic master planning and precinct development projects.

/n

- Managing procurement, contracts and consultant performance.

/n

- Identifying and progressing land development and investment opportunities.

/n

- Preparing high-quality reports and strategic advice for Executive Leadership and Council.

/n/n

About You

/n

We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to deliver outcomes in complex environments.

/n

You will bring:

/n

/n

- Qualifications in town planning, business management or a related discipline, or equivalent executive experience.

/n

- Significant experience in project leadership, strategic planning, development, infrastructure or local government.

/n

- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.

/n

- Experience working within governance frameworks and reporting to senior decision-makers.

/n

- A track record of translating strategic ambitions into practical, measurable outcomes.

/n/n
