Peoplebank are recruiting for a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to work on an initial 6 month contract, based in Adelaide, South Australia.
/n This is NOT a remote role, so please only apply if you are willing to live and work full time in Adelaide and hold the necessary full work visa.
/n Due to the nature of the role, which is working in Government, you may be required to undergo a baseline or NV1 clearance post commencement.
/n As a Senior Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of a large and complex environment and will be involved in key Cyber Security projects as well as day to day security operational matters.

/n Key outcomes of the role

/n

/n

- Security Operations – Oversee daily Cyber security operations, including security incident and event monitoring, incident response and threat management to maintain a secure environment.

/n

- Vulnerability Management – Coordinate vulnerability assessments and patch management processes to address security gaps and enhance system resilience.

/n

- Security Governance – Will be involved in Governance reviews of ICT changes managed internally or by Government's contracted service providers or established panels.

/n

- Architecture Reviews and Security Advisory – Conduct comprehensive security architecture reviews to identify and mitigate risks in system designs and provide appropriate security advice as part of ICT projects.

/n Essential skills and experience/n

/n

- Extensive (5 to 10+ years) experience in Security Operations or advisory roles particularly in infrastructure, cloud environments.

/n

- Experience working with network security devices including firewalls,



WAFs and other threat prevention appliances.

/n

- Experienced in logging and monitoring with ability to support respective teams in fine tuning alerts in a SIEM solution.

/n

- Proven track record in conducting/facilitating vulnerability assessment, patch management and coordinating remediation with business owners.

/n

- Involved in security architecture reviews of infrastructure and cloud solutions catering to large user base.

/n

- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative team workplace.
