About the Opportunity
As General Manager Asset & Clinical Technology, you will lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies, policies, processes and systems that deliver high quality services and drive value from the MLHD asset portfolio. You'll ensure MLHD operates under ISO 55000 principles, with all asset services aligned to relevant Strategic Plans, Regulatory Standards, Legislation, Policy and Procedures.

As the General Manager Asset & Clinical Technology, you will be responsible for:

- Providing professional, strategic policy advice to the Executive leadership team on the management of assets required to support MLHD goals, objectives and functions
- Leading, directing and managing MLHD's Asset Management functions - Engineering, Clinical Technology, Property, Capital Works & Energy, Finance, Performance and Compliance - based on risk, cost and performance
- Leading strategic planning and management of MLHD's financial and asset resources, including the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Asset Management Plan/s (AMP)
- Shaping the agency's strategic framework to align direction and purpose with MLHD goals, ensuring transparent, on-time, on-budget delivery of asset services
- Championing MLHD values and embedding a strong risk culture across the asset management function
- Directing research and analysis to identify innovative, sustainable solutions with a focus on clinical services, the setting and climate adaptation

About You




Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent experience leading complex programs of work, with an understanding of regulatory requirements for maintaining health care or substantial asset portfolios
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop staff, including the capacity to build an effective, high performing team
- Conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing timely strategies to maintain asset operations
- Strong negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively to manage change
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing work plans and timeframes in line with budgetary expectations and supported by data analytics
- Demonstrated experience in the effective management of both human and financial resource
- A current Class C Driver's Licence
