Senior Archivist (VPS 6) | 8-Month Fixed Term | Melbourne | $90 - 95 per hour
About the Role
As Senior Archivist, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice across records and information management, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team, drive governance initiatives, oversee records management activities, and support project delivery in a complex setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a records management team.
- Provide expert advice on records, information, document, content and data management.
- Develop and implement information governance frameworks and processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant records management legislation and standards.
- Manage risks, issues, reporting and stakeholder engagement across the project.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and communications.
About You
- Significant experience in records and information management.
- Strong knowledge of Victorian records and information legislation and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated people leadership and project management capability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and report-writing skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in records management, information management or a related field.
