Your new career
Our Stormwater Infrastructure team is responsible for one of Council's most essential services, managing the drainage network that helps keep our communities secure, connected and resilient.

In this role, you'll support the investigation, design and delivery of projects that improve stormwater outcomes across the municipality. Working closely with experienced engineers, you'll play an important part in delivering practical infrastructure solutions that benefit the community both now and into the future.

You'll be a strong communicator with a customer-first mindset and a keen eye for detail, able to balance technical tasks with responsive stakeholder service.

Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements

- Relevant practical experience gained through placements, internships or employment is desirable.
- Graduate of Civil Engineering or similarly qualified in a technical field with applicable engineering experience (qualification check conducted).
- Experience in Microsoft Office, stormwater analysis methods and AutoCAD
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, recognized professional standards relating to stormwater management and civil engineering.
- Experience in design and construction techniques and regulatory processes.
- Current Victorian drivers licence.
- A current Working With Children Check
- You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council)..
A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
