Procurement Specialist - Defence Programs - Contract chance in Canberra
Your new company
An established Defence consultancy is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support a high-profile Defence transition program. This role will play a critical part in delivering complex procurement and contract management activities associated with a significant Defence transformation initiative.
Working within a cooperative stakeholder environment, you will provide expert procurement, commercial and contract management advice, supporting the development and implementation of contract amendments, governance processes and procurement outcomes.
Your new role
- Managing procurement and contract management activities across a large-scale Defence services contract.
- Developing contract variations, contract change proposals and procurement documentation.
- Providing specialist commercial and procurement advice to senior stakeholders.
- Supporting governance, compliance and approval processes.
- Managing procurement risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Engaging with legal, commercial and operational stakeholders.
- Preparing briefs,
submissions and executive-level documentation.
- Supporting negotiations and implementation of contractual outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in Commonwealth procurement and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
- Experience preparing procurement documentation, commercial agreements and contract variations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong written communication and governance reporting capability.
- Ability to work independently in a complex government environment.
- Current Baseline Security Clearance.
