Gehlot Pty Ltd/ Trustee of Esh Family Trust is seeking a full time chef with valuable experience and knowledge in Commercial Kitchen.

The right candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and presenting high quality restaurant menu items.

Expected Salary to be between $78,000 - $81,000 plus Superannuation.

Must have:

· Must have minimum experience of 2+years in supervisory role in the kitchen

· A minimum of Certificate 4 in Commercial Cookery or above

The duties of the role include:

· Plan and design the menu

· Bring new and innovative recipes for the menu

· Create a menu according to the seasonal ingredients and the theme of the venue

· Interact with customers occasionally to get a feel of their likes and dislikes which reflects in the future menus

· Delegate duties to kitchen staff

· Oversee and supervise all kitchen staff

· Ensure all staff are aware of their duties and what is expected of them

· Oversee and monitor the work of kitchen staff to ensure all tasks are done with company guidelines

· Give staff feedback on their performance to enable staff development





· Ensure everyone is maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety

· Train and teach others including floor and bar staff

· Maintain stock levels of all kitchen supplies

· Order and control of produce

· Ensure wastage is minimized by careful supervision of food preparation methods

· Source local ingredients as much as possible for the dishes to support local farmers

· Ensure proper hygienic storage methods are utilized to prevent food loss

· Ensure all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards

· Maintain the food costs according to the company budget and pricing the dishes to a profitable amount

· Ensure all food is prepared as per food preparation requirements

· Make sure meals are produced in timely manner and sufficient quantities are available

· Be available for functions as they arise to ensure that the food is prepared and served as required

· Hiring and training new staff

· Making weekly kitchen rosters
