Hillview Bunyip Aged Care | Bunyip, West Gippsland VIC
Two ways in — pick the one that suits you
We currently have two permanent part-time Registered Nurse positions available at Hillview Bunyip. Both are genuinely permanent, not casual pool work, and both come with the security of a set contract from day one. The difference is in the hours:
Position A — Set roster, 0.6 FTE A fixed fortnightly pattern of six shifts per fortnight, working alternate weekends. Right for someone who wants known, ongoing hours they can plan a life around.
Position B — Rotating roster, growing hours Starts at a minimum of one shift per week on a rotating roster and is expected to grow to around three to four days per week within two to four months, as Hillview's resident numbers grow. Right for someone who wants a genuine permanent foothold now, with more hours to come, whether you are moving from casual work, studying, or easing back into the workforce.
If you are not sure which suits you, call us. We would rather talk it through than have you rule yourself out over a rostering detail.
About Hillview
Hillview Bunyip Aged Care is a community-based residential aged care home in Bunyip, in Victoria's West Gippsland. We care for older people from Bunyip and the surrounding townships, and we are proud that our residents, their families and our staff know each other by name.
We are building a permanent nursing team. Rather than relying on casual and agency cover, we are converting vacant lines into permanent positions so our residents see familiar faces and our nurses have security and rosters they can count on. Both positions below are part of that shift.
Hillview casual staff, this includes you. If you already work with us casually and would like permanent hours in either pattern above, we would genuinely like to hear from you. Apply through the process below,
or speak with the Director of Care first if you would rather talk it through.
About the roles
Across both positions, you will:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based clinical care in line with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Act 2024
- Complete assessments, care planning, evaluation and clinical documentation
- Administer and manage medications in accordance with legislation and Hillview policy
- Work alongside and support Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers on shift
- Recognise and escalate changes in a resident's condition, liaising with GPs, allied health, families and external providers
- Contribute to incident reporting, continuous improvement and clinical governance
Both positions include some In Charge shifts within the roster, alongside standard shifts working within the team. As In Charge shifts are rostered for both positions, previous experience taking In Charge responsibility is required.
