Laguna Jacks Noosa Heads is seeking a motivated and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are a busy waterfront restaurant renowned for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef looking to grow their career in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with menu specifications.
- Assist in developing and planning seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff where required.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient service.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
Essential Requirements
- AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher qualification (or overseas equivalent); or
- At least three years of relevant full-time work experience where no formal qualification is held.
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
