As a Trades assistant / Labourer at TPS Sheetmetal Fabrication pty ltd, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting our skilled tradespeople in the fabrication and installation of sheet metal products. This is a full-time position based in our Wangara, WA facility.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting tradespeople with the fabrication, assembly and installation of sheet metal components
2. Operating hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
3. Measuring, cutting, bending and forming sheet metal as directed
4. Performing general labouring duties such as site clean-up and material handling
5. Maintaining a high standard of workplace safety and compliance with procedures
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience as a trades assistant or labourer, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment
2. Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment safely
3. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
4. A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
5. Positive physical fitness and stamina to undertake manual labour tasks
6. Positive attitude,
strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team
