About the role:

As Council’s Building Maintenance Officer, you will:

- Develop and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance programs across Council buildings and facilities.
- Conduct building inspections, identify maintenance requirements, respond to maintenance requests and arrange repair works.
- Managing and monitoring contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate asset, compliance and risk documentation.
- Support procurement activities and preventative maintenance planning programs.
- Help ensure Council’s facilities remain safe, compliant and cost-effective.
- Work primarily in an office workplace with regular site inspections and field visits as required.
- Ensuring legislative and WHS compliance.

This permanent full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes as part of a collaborative team.

About you:

- You will have a Current Australian Driver's Licence, White Card, Work Safely at Heights qualification and non-prohibited South Australian Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
- Demonstrated administration experience with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
- The ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.




- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach with the initiative to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
- A demonstrated commitment to Council's values and behaviours.
