Elexia Communications is looking for a Melbourne-based Communications Consultant to help build our growing presence in Victoria.
We work at the sharp end of Australia’s energy and infrastructure sectors — renewables, storage, electricity, major projects and the issues that come with building things people care about.
We’re looking for someone who can do more than write a decent media release.
You’ll be a smart, energetic communications professional who can get across a complicated issue quickly, work out what matters and turn it into transparent, compelling communications.
You’ll work across media, corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, social content, thought leadership and issues management for some of Australia’s most interesting energy businesses.
You’ll also help us build Elexia in Melbourne.
We’re looking for someone with:
Around 4–7 years’ experience in communications, PR, journalism, corporate affairs or a related field
Excellent writing skills and strong news judgement
Confidence dealing with clients and journalists
The ability to take a brief and run with it
Enough strategic nous to understand the bigger picture
The discipline to work independently without disappearing into a cave
A genuine appetite to work as part of a close, collaborative team
Curiosity, judgement and a willingness to get stuck in
Energy or infrastructure experience would be useful.
Intelligence and the ability to learn quickly matter more.
This isn’t a giant agency where you’ll become employee number 437.
You’ll work directly with senior consultants, have meaningful responsibility and help shape our Melbourne operation as it grows.
We work hard, back each other and care about the quality of what goes out the door.
If you’re looking for a role where you can do excellent work, take real responsibility and help build something as it grows, we’d love to hear from you.
