Are you a trade-qualified Mechanical Technician looking for a field-based role with variety, autonomy and strong earning potential?
Adecco is partnering with a leading provider of industrial power generation and critical equipment solutions to recruit an experienced Field Service Technician to join their Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of diesel generators and associated power systems while enjoying the support of a well-established national organisation.
With a fully maintained service vehicle, quality tools and ongoing training provided, you'll play a key role in ensuring customers' critical power systems remain operational and reliable.
The Opportunity
Working across the Greater Sydney region, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel-powered generators and power generation equipment at customer sites.
This is a Monday to Friday position with opportunities for overtime and additional earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and repair diesel generators and associated mechanical systems
- Diagnose faults and respond to equipment breakdowns in the field
- Complete preventative maintenance activities and scheduled servicing
- Conduct inspections and ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards
- Prepare service documentation and maintenance reports
- Liaise with customers to provide technical advice and support
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and ongoing maintenance solutions
About You
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
- A recognised Mechanical Trade qualification
- Previous experience working on diesel engines, generators, pumps, heavy equipment or similar rotating machinery
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A proactive,
safety-focused approach to work
- The ability to work independently while managing your own schedule
Highly Regarded
- Experience servicing diesel generators or standby power systems
- Exposure to industrial power generation equipment
- Experience working in a field service environment
- Electrical or engine management system exposure
