The Opportunity
We are seeking an Asset Maintenance Officer to provide professional advice and support across CHL’s assets and facilities. In this role, you will help deliver responsive, planned and cyclical maintenance services that ensure our properties are safe, well maintained and provide quality housing outcomes for customers.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will take a proactive approach to managing and maintaining CHL’s property management program, including responsive, planned, vacated and cyclical maintenance. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advice and support in the management of CHL’s asset base.
- Applying CHL’s asset policies, procedures and standards consistently across maintenance activities.
- Overseeing responsive and vacated maintenance, including liaising with contractors to ensure quality work and service delivery requirements are met.
- Issuing and managing work orders, ensuring agreed performance indicators are achieved.
- Supporting the Asset and Facility Management team to deliver strategic asset priorities through planned maintenance programs.
- Participating in asset management projects and work assignments.
- Working collaboratively as part of the Operations team and providing appropriate support across the wider organisation.
About You
You will bring sound knowledge of maintenance, facilities or asset management practices, along with a proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities.
Your communication and relationship-building skills will help you work effectively with contractors, colleagues and stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes.
You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to work health and safety, continuous improvement, customer service and CHL’s vision of a world without housing poverty.
Essential attributes include:
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- White Card, or willingness to obtain one.
- Sound knowledge and practical application of WHS practices.
- Ability to issue and manage work orders effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to customer focus, professionalism, accountability and quality housing outcomes.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check where required. All pre-employment checks will be arranged during onboarding.
