Australian owned, PE backed services business who are going through a growth phase to enable more reach within their customer base.

The role
The opportunity is within a high-growth, PE-backed Australian business entering its next phase of expansion, with a focus on strengthening financial governance, improving systems and building scalable processes.

Reporting to the CFO, the role leads a lean finance team (x4 DR's) and requires a hands on Financial Controller comfortable operating across reporting, audit, compliance, financial operations and process improvement.

- Lead the month end and year end close processes
- Produce accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting
- Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Manage the annual external audit and act as the key contact for external auditors
- Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory obligations are met
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash management and bank reconciliations
- Lead,



develop and coach a finance team of approximately six
- Establish effective, scalable and well-documented finance processes
- Improve month-end timelines and minimise audit adjustments
- Enhance automation and reduce reliance on manual processes
- Improve finance systems, controls and data quality
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across the finance function
- Support general ledger, reporting system and broader technology upgrades
- Partner closely with the CFO, CEO and senior leadership team
- Support outsourced and offshore finance arrangements where appropriate
- Contribute to broader business improvement initiatives
- Build the financial infrastructure required to support continued growth period of transformation and increased workload

To be considered for this role you will need:

- Experience managing an audit end to end in a sub $100m t/o company
- Have confidence improving and streamlining process
- Be hands on in your approach
