Thomas Foods International is seeking a motivated and proactive WHS Advisor to join our team at our flagship Murray Bridge processing facility. Working closely with the WHS Manager, Plant Leadership Team and operational employees, you will play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture, supporting compliance obligations, reducing workplace risk and driving continuous improvement across site operations.

About the Role

As the WHS Advisor, you will provide practical, handson support across all operational areas of the site, working closely with leaders and employees to identify hazards, manage risks, investigate incidents and implement effective safety initiatives.

This role offers significant exposure to all facets of workplace health and safety, making it an ideal opportunity for an emerging WHS professional seeking broad operational experience and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's WHS Management System.

- Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations and compliance audits.

- Develop, review and maintain risk assessments, Secure Work Method Statements and Work Instructions.

- Assist with hazard identification, risk management and implementation of effective controls.





- Support and participate in incident investigations and corrective action processes.

- Monitor and report on hazards, incidents, injuries and safety performance metrics.

- Facilitate consultation with employees, supervisors and Health & Safety Representatives.

- Assist with WHS Committee administration and employee engagement initiatives.

- Support contractor management, site inductions and compliance activities.

- Promote and reinforce TFI's "Safety First and Always" culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety.

- Experience in a WHS, Safety Advisor/Coordinator, Safety Administrator or similar operational role.

- A sound understanding of hazard identification, risk management and injury prevention principles, within manufacturing, food processing, meat processing or industrial environment.

- Experience or exposure to incident investigations and corrective action management.

- Experience using safety management systems.

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- The ability to influence positive safety behaviours and build strong working relationships.

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.

- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
