We are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. The Compensation & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the delivery, administration of payroll support and people data processes across Australia and New Zealand.

This role supports payroll governance and reporting and maintains high-quality HR data integrity across systems. Working closely with the Compensation & Benefits Specialist, this role also plays a key backup function during payroll cycles, annual remuneration reviews, and key reporting periods.

This is a part time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work 15 hours per week across three days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, including a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Management

- Support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation frameworks, salary structures, and pay review processes.
- Work with C&B; Specialist to coordinate annual remuneration review cycles, including data preparation, modelling, and reporting.
- Assist with salary benchmarking activities and market data analysis to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Ensure compensation data accuracy, governance, and compliance with company policies and legislation.

Benefits Administration

- Support the administration of employee benefits programs across Australia and New Zealand.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely updates in HRIS and provider systems.




- Act as a key point of contact for employee and vendor queries relating to benefits.

Payroll Support & Governance

- Act as a backup for payroll cycles, ensuring continuity during absences or peak periods.
- Review and maintain payroll inputs such as new starters, terminations, leave, and remuneration changes.
- Support payroll compliance, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with Payroll provider to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

People Data & Analytics

- Maintain and enhance compensation, benefits, and workforce reporting dashboards.
- Analyse people data to identify trends, risks, and insights to support business decision-making.

HR Systems & Data Integrity

- Maintain accurate compensation, benefits, and payroll data within HRIS and related systems.
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure integrity, consistency, and compliance.

Compliance & Risk

- Ensure compensation and benefits practices comply with relevant employment legislation and internal policies.
- Support internal and external audit requirements related to payroll, compensation, and employee data.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive remuneration and employee information.

Project & Continuous Improvement

- Contribute to compensation and benefits projects, including annual WGEA, annual budgeting processes and quarterly reforecasts.




- Support automation and efficiency initiatives across payroll and reporting processes, being forward thinking with AI initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee experience and operational effectiveness.
- Assist in implementing global or regional compensation initiatives where required.

General P&C; Support

- Partner with the broader People & Culture team to support employee lifecycle processes as they relate to compensation and benefits.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes from a remuneration and payroll perspective.
- Support ad hoc HR reporting and business requests.
- Provide backup support to the Senior Compensation & Advantages Specialist as required and during periods of absence.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

- 1-3 years’ experience in compensation, benefits, payroll, Finance, or a related role.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong capability in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of remuneration frameworks, payroll processes, and benefits administration.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Australian and New Zealand employment and payroll legislation.
