About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Food Service Assistant, you'll create cherished moments each day by supporting our Chef Manager to create delicious food and assist to serve in our in office Cafe.

What you'll bring

You're reliable, resilient and have a whole lot of heart.



Most importantly, you are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Experience in food preparation in a busy kitchen, prior experience in aged care desired but not essential
- Ability to work unsupervised and part of a team
- Experience in a cafe or previous barista experience would also be an advantage.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance OR current police check and willing to obtain NDIS clearance.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
