Role Description -

The Contract Administrator is a full-time, office role based in the Greater Melbourne Area. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and administering Pre -construction contracts across residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating contract documentation, managing variations, monitoring compliance with contractual terms, Pre-construction planning and design.

The Contract Administrator will collaborate closely with clients, planning consultants and councils to achieve compliance while also not sacrificing the clients' outlook on their project. The role also involves collating permit documentation (planning permits & building permit), supporting contract negotiations, ensuring timely approvals,



and contributing to risk management and continuous improvement of contract processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Contract Negotiation and Communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
- Candidates should possess Contract Management and Procurement skills to administer agreements, manage variations, and support sourcing and supplier management.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret contract terms, review cost reports, and identify risks or discrepancies.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in construction documentation and contract administration software, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Relevant experience in construction or property, preferably in residential and commercial projects, and knowledge of Australian construction contracts and regulations.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business, or a related field is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in the Greater Melbourne Area, manage multiple deadlines, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
- Experience using Buildxact preferred.
- Design experience preferred with a strong understanding of architectural plans to ensure floorplans are functional and flow well.
- Assisting in gathering documentation for planning and building permits.
