Why this Role is Different:

You won’t just be ticking boxes here. As our Educational Leader, you’ll have dedicated non-contact time — plus an Educational Leader allowance — to actually think, plan, and lead. We’re serious about giving you the time and resources to do meaningful work.

We know some providers offer full-time non-contact positions, and we want to be transparent about how we structure EL time at Edge. Our approach is built on a transparent rule of thumb:

- One hour of base Educational Leader time per week
- Plus one additional hour per room in the service

For example, in a 5-room service, you would receive 6 hours of non-contact time each week, protected time to lead curriculum, mentor educators, and drive quality outcomes.

Lead curriculum innovation – Develop programs aligned with EYLF that bring play-based learning to life

Mentor your team – Support educators with constructive feedback that builds confidence and capability

Champion holistic education – Weave together diverse learning experiences from outdoor adventures to cultural exploration

Partner with families – Collaborate to enrich each child’s unique learning journey

What You Need:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or higher.

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificate, or willingness to obtain before you start.

Current National Child Safety Training.

Current Working with Children Clearance.

Experience in curriculum development and play-based learning

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
