About Us

The Racing Integrity Commissioner is appointed as an independent statutory officer under Part IA of the Racing Act 1958 (Vic). The Commissioner provides independent integrity oversight of the Victorian Racing Industry (VRI), including assurance of the three racing controlling bodies' (Racing Victoria Ltd, Harness Racing Victoria and Greyhound Racing Victoria) performance of integrity functions.

The Commissioner receives funding and administrative support from the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) and is supported in the performance of their functions by staff, who are employees within the Community Safety, Victims and Racing group.

What You Will Do

As integrity operations manager, you will lead the Commissioner's complaints, investigations and audit work.

You will help improve integrity, transparency and ethical conduct across Victoria's racing industry.

You Will

- lead a skilled team to assess complaints, enquiries and referrals and decide the right response
- conduct complex investigations, gather evidence, prepare reports and support audits and reviews
- provide clear, evidence-based advice, recommendations and decisions on integrity risks and emerging issues
- develop practical policies, tools, templates, training and reporting processes that improve complaint and investigation work




- build strong working relationships, mentor team members and support accurate reporting and continuous improvement.

About You

Relevant qualifications or training in investigations, compliance, auditing, administrative law or regulatory enforcement are highly desirable. Equivalent investigation experience, experience leading teams and work in a public sector, ombudsman or integrity setting will be highly regarded.

You Should Also Have

- strong knowledge of investigations, audits, procedural fairness and administrative decision-making
- proven experience managing complaints and investigations in a regulatory, legal or integrity setting
- sound judgement to assess risk, identify systemic issues and provide evidence-based advice
- excellent communication and people leadership skills to build relationships, mentor others and lead through change.
