Overview
Our client is an established commercial property business with a strong presence in the market, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial assets.
They are looking for an experienced Trust Accountant to join their finance team and take ownership of the trust accounting function within a fast-paced property setting.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day trust accounting function across a commercial property portfolio.
This role will see you managing trust transactions, reconciliations, landlord and supplier payments, financial reporting, and month-end processes while ensuring compliance with trust accounting requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing daily trust receipting, banking and reconciliations.
Processing supplier invoices, payments and landlord distributions.
Preparing landlord statements and financial reports.
Maintaining accurate tenancy and property financial records.
Supporting month-end, year-end and audit processes.
Ensuring compliance with trust accounting legislation and internal procedures.
About You
You will bring proven experience within commercial property trust accounting and be confident managing a high-volume trust function.
You will also possess:
Demonstrated commercial trust accounting experience (essential).
Strong working knowledge of Cirrus8 (essential).
Solid understanding of trust accounting legislation, reconciliations and compliance requirements.
Experience preparing landlord distributions, management fee reconciliations and trust reporting.
High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with internal stakeholders, landlords and suppliers.
