Join our team and be part of our continued success.About the roleThe Hygiene Operative is responsible for maintaining a clean, secure, and hygienic kitchen workplace in accordance with HACCP standards.
The role involves washing and sanitizing dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as managing the tray wash area and ensuring all items are properly stored.The Hygiene Operative will also handle rubbish and recycling disposal, clean and maintain kitchen floors, walls, shelves, work benches, and equipment, and follow proper food hygiene and chemical handling procedures.
The role requires strict adherence to health and safety practices, timely reporting of any issues or incidents, and the ability to carry out additional duties as directed by the Manager.What you'll doPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Wash and clean utensils and dishes and make sure they are stored appropriatelyManage the tray wash sectionSort and dispose of rubbish and recyclingClean food preparation equipment,



floors and other kitchen tools or areas in a hygienic manner to HACCP standards.SPECIFIC DUTIES:Clean and disinfect all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and equipment storage areas including sweeping and moppingRemoval of all rubbish, cardboard boxes and vegetable scraps to designated rubbish areaCleaning of kitchen walls, shelves and work benches on a daily basisMaintain kitchen equipment so it is in positive conditionFollow proper hygienic food handling practicesEnsure correct operating procedures are followed when using required chemicalsPerform any other duties as directed by your ManagerComply with all people safety practicesReporting all issues or incidents in a timely mannerQualificationMinimum one year experience in a food manufacturing or production environmentUnderstanding of work safety practices; operating cleaning equipmentFlexible work style and enjoys varietyAbility to take and follow instructionsDedicated with strong work ethic & 'can do' attitudeAbility to work under pressure with pace and energy & meet deadlinesSelf-driven & motivatedExceptional personal presentation & hygiene
