We are seeking an experienced and technically strong senior accountant for a Technical Manager position to play a pivotal internal leadership role within a collaborative and progressive team environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a candidate who longs to spend their day doing the parts of the role they enjoy, without the pressure of generating new business, or liaising with a vast amount of clients.

/n

This is a high-impact, internally focused role where you will lead the review and delivery of tax compliance work while mentoring a developing team of junior accounting professionals. You'll be instrumental in maintaining quality, improving processes, and supporting Pod Managers through reliable and technically sound outcomes

- Provide technical leadership across the firm, acting as the central point of expertise for tax and accounting matters.

/n

- Oversee the end-to-end review process for financial statements, income tax returns, and associated workpapers, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

/n

- Guide and develop team members through hands-on mentoring, structured feedback, and targeted technical support to elevate overall capability and performance.

/n





- Partner with managers and partners to resolve complex technical issues and support high-level advisory and review requirements.

/n

- Uphold and strengthen compliance with Australian tax legislation, accounting standards, and internal quality assurance frameworks.

/n

- Streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency by identifying process improvements and implementing best-practice review methodologies.

- Experience in Australian public practice within a senior tax accountant or review-focused role.

/n

- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) with strong technical capability.

/n

- In-depth knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements.

/n

- Demonstrated experience reviewing work and mentoring junior team members.

/n

- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skills.

/n

- A collaborative and solutions-focused professional who thrives in a quality-driven setting.

/n

- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and Quick Books, along with strong capability across the Microsoft 365 suite.
