About the Opportunity

The Andersen Partnership is pleased to partner with a leading, long-established accounting practice known for its specialized expertise in the Accommodation & Tourism sector (with a heavy focus on Management Rights businesses).

/n

We are currently seeking a ambitious Intermediate to Senior Accountant who is eager to accelerate their career. If you are looking for a clear, direct pathway into a Senior Client Manager position, this role offers structured mentorship, industry-specific training, and a rapid track to reporting directly to the Partner.

/n

Whether you already have experience in Management Rights or are a strong public practice accountant looking to specialize in a highly profitable niche, full specialist training will be provided.

/n

Key Responsibilities & Progression Pathway

/n

/n

- Initial Focus: Master specialized tax compliance, BAS, payroll tax, and financial reporting (using Xero) for accommodation and tourism clients.

/n

- Specialist Training: Learn industry-specific reporting, client management, and specialized commentary while working under the guidance of an experienced Senior Client Manager.

/n

- Advanced Advisory: Progress into high-value advisory work, including:

/n

- Preparation of Adjusted Profit & Loss for Sale Reports

/n

- Financial Verification Reports & Due Diligence reviews

/n

- Strategic forecasting,



cash flow analysis, and business growth planning

/n

- Future Role: Step into full direct client management and report directly to the Partner, providing a full-service advisory offering to your portfolio.

What We're Looking For

/n

/n

- Experience: Minimum 3–5+ years of public practice accounting experience in Australia.

/n

- Qualifications: CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).

/n

- Technical Skills: Strong hands-on proficiency with Xero and tax compliance workflows.

/n

- Specialization: Prior experience in Management Rights or the accommodation sector is highly regarded, but not required (training provided for driven candidates).

/n

- Communication: Confident relationship-builder who takes ownership of their portfolio and enjoys direct client interaction.

/n

- Work Setup: Based in Brisbane or Gold Coast with comfortable WFH capabilities and flexibility for occasional visits to the Sunshine Coast offices.

/n

- Work Rights: Full Australian working rights required.
