As our founding leader, you will play a pivotal role in launching the centre. Initially, you will drive community engagement, manage early enrolments, and build a high-performing team of educators. Once open, you will serve as the Nominated Supervisor, overseeing daily operations, pedagogical leadership, commercial viability, and strict compliance with national regulations.

Key Responsibilities
/n
1. Centre Launch & Enrolment Growth
/n
Drive local marketing initiatives and community networking to promote the new centre.
/n
Lead family tours, manage the waitlist, and oversee the enrolment pipeline to reach occupancy targets.
/n
Build strong, trusting relationships with families from their very first enquiry.
/n
1. Compliance & National Quality Framework (NQF)
/n
Act as the legally responsible Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law.
/n
Ensure total compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS) and WA Child Care Regulations.
/n
Establish, implement, and review centre policies, procedures,
and the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
/n
Maintain a child-protected environment by ensuring all staff have valid WA Working with Children Checks (WWC) and required certifications.
/n
1. OWNA Software Administration
/n
Utilize OWNA CCMS for seamless Child Care Subsidy (CCS) management, automated billing, and family enrolment pipelines.
/n
Manage educator rosters, digital timesheets, and staff credentials using the OWNA HR & Payroll & Employment Hero ecosystem.
/n
Train and oversee educators in using OWNA for digital curriculum planning, daily observations, and attendance logging.
/n
Maintain high levels of family engagement through proactive updates via the OWNA Parent App.
/n
1. Team Leadership & Recruitment
/n
Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain a team of qualified Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) and educators.
/n
Build a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture.
/n
Design and manage staff rosters to ensure strict adherence to WA staff-to-child ratios and qualification quotas at all times.
/n
Conduct regular performance reviews and coordinate professional development opportunities.
/n
Manage the centre's operational budget, including labor costs, resources, and consumables.
/n
Ensure accurate billing, payment tracking, and financial reporting through the integrated childcare software.
/n
Manage daily centre operations, including workplace health and safety (WHS), food safety, and facility maintenance.
/n
1. Educational Program Leadership
/n
Collaborate with the Educational Leader to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, play-based curriculum aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
/n
Foster an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates cultural diversity, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
/n
Requirements & Qualifications
/n
Education & Experience
/n
Minimum Qualification: An ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher, such as a Bachelor of Education).
/n
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Centre Manager or Assistant Centre Manager in an Australian early childhood setting.
/n
Proven track record of driving enrolments, managing budgets, and successfully navigating NQS assessment and rating processes.
/n
Certifications & Licences (Mandatory)
/n
Valid WA Working with Children Check (WWC) card.
/n
Current National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old).
/n
ACECQA-approved Emergency First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management qualifications.
/n
Completed (or willing to complete) Child Protection Training approved for WA.
/n
Skills & Attributes
