Maryland Care and Early Education Centre is seeking an experienced, passionate and motivated Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead our well‐established, community‐based long day care service.

/n

For almost 40 years, our not‐for‐profit centre has been providing high‐quality early childhood education and care to local families. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment where children, families and educators feel valued, respected and supported.

About the Role

/n

As the Director / Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the service, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

/n

Working closely with our Management Committee, you will oversee the day‐to‐day operations of the centre, support and mentor educators, maintain strong relationships with families, and continue to build on the centre's long‐standing reputation within the community.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Provide inspirational leadership and support to a dedicated team of educators.

/n

- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard and Child Safety Standards.

/n

- Lead quality improvement initiatives and oversee the Quality Improvement Plan.

/n

- Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.

/n

- Manage staffing, enrolments, occupancy and day‐to‐day centre operations.

/n

- Oversee budgeting and financial performance in collaboration with the Management Committee.





/n

- Ensure the service maintains a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.

/n

- Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement.

/n/n

About You

/n

/n

- Approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (with eligibility to hold the role of Nominated Supervisor).

/n

- Demonstrated leadership experience within an early childhood education and care service.

/n

- Thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.

/n

- Strong knowledge of Child Safe Standards and Child Protection requirements.

/n

- Experience with the Assessment and Rating process and Quality Improvement Plan.

/n

- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

/n

- Current NSW Working with Children Check.

/n

- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (HLTAID012 or equivalent).

/n

- Current Child Protection and Child Safety training.

/n

- Sound computer and administrative skills.

/n

- Experience working within a community‐based or not‐for‐profit service.

/n

- Experience with CCS, enrolment management systems and childcare management software, specifically OWNA.

/n

- Financial and budget management experience.

/n

- Experience working collaboratively with a Management Committee or Board.

/n/n
