Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site BMW Technician role based at Canterbury BMW in Sydney, NSW. The BMW Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on BMW vehicles in line with manufacturer standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting vehicle inspections, identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, completing scheduled services, and ensuring all work is accurately documented in service records. The role involves collaborating closely with service advisors and other team members to provide clear technical information and support a high level of customer satisfaction. The technician is expected to maintain a clean,
safe workspace, follow all safety and compliance procedures, and participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with BMW technologies.
Qualifications
- Technical automotive skills, including experience in vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and electrical systems, ideally with premium or European brands.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools, service software, and electronic test equipment used in dealership workshop environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and other technicians.
- Relevant automotive trade qualification or apprenticeship completion; BMW-specific training or certifications are highly regarded.
- Current valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a range of BMW vehicles.
- Experience working in a dealership or service center setting and familiarity with manufacturer service processes is beneficial.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training to keep up with evolving BMW technology and service requirements.
