Your new role
/n
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a growing team working across various mine sites throughout the Bowen Basin. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, fault-finding and repair of overhead cranes, jib cranes and associated lifting equipment.
You will carry out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, component replacements and mechanical inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance. Working a 4/3 roster with 12-hour shifts, you will support a range of mining clients while contributing to safe and efficient site operations.
This is a long-term opportunity with an ASAP start for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed

/n
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
/n
- Current Driver's Licence
/n
- Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
/n
- Current Coal Board Medical
/n
- Experience working on overhead and/or jib cranes highly regarded
/n
- Solid mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
/n
- Experience with gearboxes, brakes, bearings and lifting equipment advantageous
/n
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards
/n
- Must be residentially based in Mackay
