Senior Radiation Therapists are required for the Northern Cancer Service in Launceston, a public hospital within the Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre. The role supports contemporary, evidence‐informed practice and works with 6 Radiation Oncologists using Varian equipment.

Role Overview

As a Senior Radiation Therapist you will act as a Team Leader for a radiation therapy treatment unit or treatment planning section, ensuring safe, effective, and high‐quality delivery of services. You will apply advanced clinical knowledge to resolve complex treatment planning and delivery issues, maintain professional standards and patient care outcomes, and provide leadership, supervision, education and support to therapy staff and students.

- Lead and manage radiation therapy treatment unit or planning section.

- Apply advanced clinical knowledge to resolve complex treatment planning and delivery issues.

- Maintain professional standards, protocols, and patient care outcomes.
/n
- Provide leadership, supervision, education and support to radiation therapy staff and students.
/n
- Contribute to service quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements
/n
/n
- Approved tertiary qualification or program of study in medical radiation practice.
/n
- Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
/n
- Continuous current and valid registration/licenses throughout employment.
/n
- Experience in radiation therapy and leadership preferred.
/n/n
Salary & Perks

- Annual salary $139,014 to $145,653 plus 12% superannuation.
/n
- Salary packaging: up to $9,010 in living expenses and $2,650 in meal entertainment per FBT year.
/n
- 10% market allowance of base salary.
/n
- Travel and relocation assistance: up to $15,000 for overseas candidates, up to $10,000 for interstate candidates.
