The Role

We are seeking an organized and proactive Compliance and WHS Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about workplace health and safety, risk management and compliance.

Working closely with the Business Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the College's compliance, risk management and Work Health and Safety (WHS) frameworks. You will be the central point of contact for WHS matters and internal audits, providing guidance and support to staff while helping to maintain a safe, compliant and well-managed College environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the College's risk management, compliance and WHS frameworks.
- Maintain compliance systems, registers, policies and documentation.
- Coordinate the College's emergency management processes and WHS activities.
- Monitor compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, including Child Safety and Blue Card obligations.
- Assist with incident investigations, risk assessments and hazard management.
- Coordinate and monitor mandatory WHS training through the College's learning management system.
- Support the management of workers' compensation and return-to-work processes.
- Provide practical advice and guidance to staff on WHS, risk management and compliance matters.
- Prepare reports, maintain records and contribute to the continuous improvement of College systems and processes.
- Coordinate the College's internal audit function.

To be successful you will possess:

- Experience in workplace health and safety,



compliance or risk management.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across the College.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current Blue Card.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
- A commitment to Child Safety and the College's Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
