Some safety roles are about filing reports. This one isn't.

We're looking for an HSE Business Partner who wants to shape how a manufacturing operation thinks, works and improves — and who'd rather influence people on the floor than push paper from a desk.

Yatala is the sweet spot between Brisbane and the Gold Coast: serious manufacturing on one side, beaches and warm weather on the other. Do the work that challenges you, then trade the steel-caps for the surf when the day is done.

What you'll own

- Drive a proactive safety culture and embed continuous improvement across HSE management systems — you set the standard.
- Run inspections, audits and incident investigations, using structured root cause analysis to find the real problem and shut it down for positive.
- Lead risk assessments, JSAs and critical controls across the manufacturing site.
- Deliver engaging toolbox talks, inductions and coaching — spot the training gaps.
- Own the manufacturing floor presence. Build genuine trust with frontline crews and shift safety behaviours where it actually counts.
- Partner with Operations,



Engineering and Supply Chain on cross-functional continuous improvement projects that go well beyond the HSE rulebook.

Qualifications

- Relevant HSE qualification (Diploma or higher) and solid experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Current, working knowledge of the WHS Act, Regulations and relevant Compliance Codes
- Proven skill in incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Confidence to influence, coach and hold the line at every level of the workforce

Preferred

- Experience leading continuous improvement or cross-functional projects
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Environmental compliance exposure (waste, chemical handling, stormwater)

About the role

You'll report to the Head of HSE with a direct line to the GM Queensland.
