Sorrento Thai Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our friendly team in Sorrento, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Thai cuisine to a high standard.

• Prepare ingredients, sauces and marinades before service.

• Ensure food quality, presentation and consistency.

• Create customised and diet‑specific meals when required as per guest preferences.

• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.

• Assist with stock control and kitchen organisation.

• Contribute ideas for specials, seasonal dishes, and pricing.

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen staff to ensure productive service.

• Inspect the quality, freshness, and quantity of ingredients and supplies received.

• Assist in planning and preparing menus for special events, private functions, and other celebrations.





• Work efficiently during busy service periods.

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen.

• Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced team environment.

Position Details

• Position: Full time Cook

• Location: Sorrento, Victoria

• Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

• Immediate commencement available.

Salary - $79,000 - $82,000 plus super
