Medical Receptionist – Full-Time (Maternity Leave Cover) → Ongoing Part time

Winchelsea Medical Clinic is on the hunt for a warm, organised Medical Receptionist to join our team!
About the role
We're looking for someone to cover maternity leave full-time for approximately 6 months, with the role transitioning to ongoing part time after that.
It's a fantastic chance if you want some job security now and flexibility down the track.
We're also open to considering two part time roles instead of one full-time position — one temporary part-time role covering the initial ~6 months, and one ongoing part-time role.

Hours
Full-time Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (38 hrs/week)



for the first ~6 months, transitioning to ongoing part-time;OR

What you'll be doing
Welcoming patients and handling front-desk enquiries, in person and over the phone
Booking and managing appointments using Best Practice Software
Processing Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, TAC and private billing
Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, referrals, and resultsKeeping patient records accurate and up to date
Supporting our GPs and nursing team with day-to-day tasks
Helping keep reception running smoothly — filing, supplies, tidying up
About you
Previous experience in a medical receptionist or similar administration role is preferred, but not required
Is confident using computers and comfortable with medical practice software
A calm, friendly and approachable
Great multitasking skills
Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality
Reliable, punctual, and easy to get along with
