The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating SQL Server environments and ensuring seamless cutover with minimal downtime. Key Skills & Experience: 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in SQL Server (2012–2022/2026) Strong expertise in SQL Server migrations and upgrades Hands-on experience with SSMA, SQL Server Profiler, and SSMS Database performance tuning and optimization SQL Clustering, Always On Availability Groups, HA/DR solutions Troubleshooting connectivity, permissions, and performance issues Experience with SQL Server Services (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS) Strong knowledge of Logins, Jobs, Linked Servers, DB Mail, and Database Objects Key Responsibilities:



Assess source environments and plan migration activities Analyze database integrations, upstream/downstream data flows, and dependencies Review encryption and certificates to support seamless migrations Execute migration cutovers with minimal business disruption Perform post-migration validation, integrity checks, and performance benchmarking Optimize queries, indexes, and server configurations Implement and support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions Preferred: Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator Experience with enterprise-scale migration projects Work Rights: Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or candidates with unrestricted Australian work rights only.
