Integration Technical Lead Role Title Integration Technical Lead – Foundations SOI Platform Location Australia (Hybrid) Role Summary Client is seeking an experienced Integration Technical Lead to provide end-to-end technical leadership for the Service-Oriented Integration (SOI) platform and associated integration services. The role will be responsible for leading the design, build, implementation, governance and operational readiness of integration capabilities across both High Trust and Low Trust network zones. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Solution Architect, delivery streams, security teams, infrastructure teams and development teams to ensure that all integration solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and aligned with approved enterprise architecture standards. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in enterprise integration platforms, API gateways, messaging technologies, security protocols and troubleshooting complex integration issues. --- Key Responsibilities Integration Platform Leadership · Provide overall technical leadership for the SOI platform and all associated integration services. · Own end-to-end integration architecture implementation across multiple environments and security zones. · Lead the design, build and deployment of integration components while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles. · Drive technical decision-making and provide guidance on integration best practices. SOI Platform Delivery · Oversee the implementation of SOI platform components across High Trust and Low Trust network zones. · Ensure integration services are delivered securely, reliably and in accordance with platform governance standards. · Support workplace planning, deployment strategies and production readiness activities. · Ensure solutions satisfy non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, resilience and security.



Design Governance & Architecture Compliance · Govern adherence to approved solution architecture, integration standards and design principles. · Review and provide technical oversight for solution designs, interface specifications and integration patterns. · Validate detailed design documentation produced by delivery teams. · Support architecture review forums and technical governance checkpoints. Development Leadership · Lead and mentor a team of integration developers and technical specialists. · Provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle. · Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Security Architects, Infrastructure teams and business stakeholders. · Promote engineering excellence, reusable patterns and effective development practices. Integration Solution Delivery · Oversee the development and configuration of: o APIs and services o Enterprise messaging solutions o Event-driven integrations o Data exchange services o Caching and performance optimization solutions · Ensure seamless integration between SOI components and enterprise applications. Risk & Issue Management · Identify, assess and manage technical risks affecting integration delivery. · Drive root-cause analysis for critical integration incidents. · Escalate and resolve architecture, performance and security issues. · Contribute to operational readiness, production support and continuous improvement initiatives. Security & Connectivity · Ensure secure communication patterns across integration platforms and network boundaries. · Lead investigations and troubleshooting activities related to: o mTLS (Mutual TLS)



o Certificates and trust stores o API security o Network connectivity o Authentication and authorization mechanisms · Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to maintain compliance with security standards. --- Required Skills & Experience Integration Platforms Strong hands-on experience with one or more enterprise integration technologies including: · Software AG WebMethods · Kong API Gateway · RabbitMQ · Enterprise Caching Technologies · API Management Platforms · Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) · Event-Driven Architectures Technical Expertise · Enterprise integration design patterns · RESTful APIs and Web Services · Messaging and asynchronous processing · Secure network integration architectures · High Availability and Disaster Recovery considerations · Microservices-based architectures · Container and cloud-based integration deployments Security & Troubleshooting · Strong experience with Mutual TLS (mTLS) configuration and troubleshooting · SSL/TLS certificates and PKI management · Authentication and Authorization protocols · Security zoning and network segmentation concepts · Integration performance tuning and diagnostics Leadership Experience · Proven experience leading integration teams on large-scale transformation programs. · Experience working with multiple delivery streams and enterprise stakeholders. · Strong vendor and stakeholder management capability. · Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences. --- Preferred Experience · Experience within Energy, Utilities, Government or other regulated environments. · Experience delivering integration solutions across complex enterprise landscapes. · Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks applicable to critical infrastructure organisations. · Experience supporting large-scale platform implementations and transformations.
