Remote World is partnering with a media streaming service offering
live sports and entertainment in the UK –€” a UK-based employer –€”
to hire for this role. They stream to over 1.5 million active
subscribers and the Android app is their fastest-growing client
platform. The role You'll build Kotlin features for the Android app
–€” from UI improvements through to playback performance
optimisations. Working alongside the Android lead, you'll ship new
screens, improve content discovery, reduce ANR rates and help
maintain a modern Jetpack-first architecture. What you'll do Build
new screens and features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose Optimise




video playback performance and buffering behaviour Write unit tests
and contribute to the UI test suite Integrate with the REST and
GraphQL content APIs Participate in code reviews and contribute to
architecture decisions What you'll need Hands-on Kotlin experience

Jetpack Compose or Views Familiarity with REST API integration on
Android Understanding of Android performance considerations Valuable
