Chef Manager Opportunities – Queensland | Aged Care

Annual Salary: AU$74,238 up to $85,000 – dependent on grade + superannuation + penalties.

Level of experience and skill will determine grade and salary.

Role Overview

The role reports to the General Manager and is supported by a Regional Catering Manager.

Full time role.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and deliver premium meal service, including menu planning, catering, infrastructure management, ordering, quality service delivery, and service improvement.
- Manage compliance related to food safety, WHS and quality.
- Lead and motivate the team, recruit and train team members.
- Control stock and ordering.
- Manage resident dietary requirements.
- Manage kitchen and food cost.




- Produce and deliver high‑quality meals.
- Ensure service excellence across the dining experience.
- Communicate with residents and families; document resident needs when required.
- Provide management and guidance to kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation.

Qualifications and Experience

- Experience within aged care preferred or broader commercial catering in high volume desired.
- Understanding of food cost management.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Chef qualifications and experience, and understanding of special dietary needs.
- Solid personal presentation and grooming skills.
- Knowledge of Food Safety legislation required.
