As our Canberra team continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with 5–10 years' experience to join our Roads & Highways team. This opportunity is ideal for a well‐rounded civil engineer who enjoys working across diverse civil infrastructure projects and aims to build a career within a nationally recognised Roads & Highways team.
Previous highways experience is welcomed but not essential.
You'll join a collaborative team delivering transport and civil infrastructure projects across the ACT and nationally. Working with experienced specialists, you will contribute from planning and concept design through to detailed design and construction support, while developing your technical and project delivery skills.
How you'll make a difference
- Deliver civil engineering design across a range of transport and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare engineering designs, reports and technical documentation to a high standard.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
- Support the delivery of projects from concept design through to construction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Mentor graduate and early career engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience.
- Contribute to proposals and business development activities as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years' experience in civil engineering within a consulting environment.
- Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects across design and project delivery.
- A broad civil engineering background with an interest in transport infrastructure and highways projects.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered (CPEng) status or working towards chartership is highly regarded.
