The AWS Qualified Services (Pro Serve) practice is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our National Security and Defence team. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet customer technical requirements and business objectives.

You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Security Clearance

Applicants must be Australian citizens and must hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see ).

Key Job Responsibilities

- Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies




- Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Basic Qualifications

- 10+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
- Experience in cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system
- Experience in consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS Professional level certification
- Experience in the Defence and/or National Security domain
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Software Engineering or similar
