Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing coal quality, including the reconciliation of coal quality and tonnage, as well as coordinating daily mine and stockpile planning.
Working closely with the Mining Operations, Logistics, CHPP, and Mine Planning teams, you will help optimise coal quality, ensure accurate production reconciliation, and support efficient operational planning.
Additionally, your duties will include Geotechnical hazard monitoring and high wall mapping, along with involvement in short‑term modelling updates.
Qualifications
- A tertiary level qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in geological modelling software.
- Demonstrated experience in open‑cut coal mining (essential).
- Experience using slope stability monitoring radar systems.
- Strong communication skills,
with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- A proven commitment to safety, with the ability to demonstrate leadership in promoting protected work practices.
