The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead South Australian Government agency for sport, active recreation and racing. ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, local government, and the community by providing leadership through the development and delivery of funding, policy, programs, infrastructure planning and management, and high-performance pathways.

About the Role

The Senior Project Officer, Growing for Gold is responsible for coordinating the statewide implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Growing for Gold project. The role is responsible for planning, developing and delivering this project across metropolitan and regional South Australia, ensuring robust alignment with Government priorities and ORSR's strategic outcomes. This includes fostering innovation and growth within the sector, promoting inclusive practices, building the capability of paid staff and volunteers, and increasing participation in sport and active recreation.

The role will establish and maintain effective partnerships with state sporting organisations, state recreation organisations, industry bodies, local government and community organisations to successfully deliver program outcomes at scale.



The position also provides expert advice and support across ORSR and contributes to broader strategic initiatives, ensuring the Growing for Gold program integrates with wider participation and sector development priorities.

Remuneration

Remuneration is in accordance with the ASO5 classification ($89,007 - $98,991) + superannuation.
