Our client is a private family office overseeing a diverse portfolio of operating businesses and investments. The finance team is small and hands-on, working closely with the family and senior leadership across a range of entities.
About the Role
This is a excellent opportunity for a junior qualified accountant looking to build a broad, well-rounded skill set within a complex, multi-entity business. Working closely with the CFO you'll gain exposure across financial accounting, group reporting and investment accounting, in an environment that will genuinely stretch your technical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial accounting and month-end processes across a multi-entity general ledger structure
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across the group
- Manage payroll processing and ensure accuracy and compliance across pay cycles
- Assist with investment accounting and reconciliations across the group's investment portfolio
- Contribute to financial reporting for the group, working closely with senior finance stakeholders
- Support financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting process and analysis to inform business decision-making
Key Requirements
- Genuine interest in working within a complex, multi-entity investment workplace
- Strong technical accounting foundation, with exposure to multi-entity structures highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills; financial modelling experience a plus
- A proactive, curious mindset, comfortable working closely with senior finance leadership
- Experience with Xero or MYOB highly regarded
